2014 Advocacy Agenda

1. Support funding of housing trust funds.
2. Support adequate funding for federal housing programs.
   
3. Protect and expand federal, state and local resources and tools available for affordable housing.
   
4. Support homeownership and rental education and counseling.
   
5. Support the establishment of an affordable housing component in a community's General Plan.
6. Support  the low income housing tax credit including the continuation of the 4% and 9% fixed rates.
   
7. Support repeal of ARS 9-441.01 which requires declared housing developing areas before providing affordable housing assistance.
   
8. Support preservation and revitalization of affordable apartments.
   
9. Support sustainable communities. 
   
10. Collaborate with economic development, health, and education sectors.
    
11. Protect the rights of consumers of affordable housing.
